Why can't we?

'We can't pretend people will go back to walking into a library and talking to a reference librarian,' said Kate Wittenberg, director of the Electronic Publishing Initiative at Columbia University." For the record, I'm all about using the technology to make my life easier. However, a lot of people still need help using the technology and directing their searches to find what they actually want/need. Maybe it's just here, though I doubt it, but we get tons of people who come in and talk to the reference librarian first.
